About Us
Our mission is to normalise change
Change is an inherent part of every organisation’s journey. But this doesn’t make it any less complex or challenging - particularly when it comes to the human impact. We're here to help you normalise change and transform it into a catalyst for productivity, growth and innovation.
Why work with us
Organisation’s often underestimate the relational dynamics of change - risking misalignment, resistance, financial pressures, delays and customer dissatisfaction. We understand that change isn't just about implementing new systems or strategies. It's about managing the interconnectedness between people, systems, processes, strategy, and culture. Our experience can add genuine value to your change initiative and wider-organisation. Here are four reasons why:
01
Our mission is to normalise change.
It's important that we leave a lasting impact - transforming change into a catalyst for productivity, growth and innovation, rather than a point of resistance.
02
We work hard so that you don't need us anymore.
While we are always here to help, our approach is to embed a change framework that provides your people with the skills and capabilities to manage change.
03
We take a holistic approach to change.
We consider the interconnectedness between people, systems and processes, strategy, leadership and culture when designing your change framework. By considering these components within your organisation's context, we promote sustainable and equitable outcomes.
04
We have experience in a range of change methodologies.
Each organisation is unique, that's why we draw on a range of methodologies to design a change framework tailored for you.
What our clients say
As you think about change, consider the memory you’re creating within your organisation. Every action you take today will shape how your people interpret their experiences tomorrow. It’s not just about navigating change - it’s about building a future where your team feels valued and engaged.
When it comes to difficult transitions, like redundancies, it’s vital to recognise the broader impact. The mental and emotional toll on those affected can ripple through your organisation, impacting morale, productivity, and trust. How will those who remain make sense of the changes they’re witnessing? What will they say about your organisation’s values in a year, five years, or even a decade?
Your choices now will leave a lasting imprint. At Future Calibrate, we’re here to help you create a meaningful and positive change experience for everyone involved.

Who is Future Calibrate
Future Calibrate is a strategic change management consultancy launched by distinguished academic and consultant Dr Allanah Johnston. Meet Dr Allanah Johnston
Allanah brings over 25 years of international experience in organisational change management. Hailing from Tāmaki Makaurau, Allanah spent a gap year in Brazil learning Portuguese before returning home to enter the world of academia. In 2003, with a Master of Commerce (1st Hons), Allanah once again left Aotearoa - this time as a lecturer and scholarship recipient at the University of Queensland. Since completing her PhD where she explored the impact of humour on workplace culture, Allanah has dedicated her career to understanding the dynamics of change in various sectors.
From Queensland, Allanah was offered a scholarship at Lund University in Sweden where she worked with a small team focusing on the connection between brand identity and workplace culture. She then joined Cardiff University in Wales as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and Government Industry Development Lead, studying organisational ambidexterity and incremental versus radical innovation in the workplace with a specific focus on the legal sector. After almost three years, Allanah accepted the role of Programme Director for MSc International Business Management at Newcastle University, overseeing both the Newcastle and London campuses. This is where Allanah further honed her interest in organisational change and how it relates to change strategy.
Alongside academia, Allanah has consulted in both the public and private sectors, addressing challenges such as high staff turnover, burnout and poor customer service, through to redesigning systems and implementing leadership restructures and professional development. Working at the intersection of people, systems, processes, culture, and strategy, Allanah specialises in aligning the different components of an organisation for sustainable and equitable transformations. The ultimate goal - to build a culture of adaptability and resilience - equipping your people with the skills and capabilities to lead their own change initiatives.
